AIXTRON’s new manufacturing & engineering hub in Malaysia

We are building a new greenfield manufacturing and engineering hub in Batu Kawan, Penang. The site will provide a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment for assembly & test of our high-end systems and will contribute to engineering the next generation of products. Operations are planned to start in 2027 with rapid ramp-up. Responsibilities

System Management & Configuration

  • Configure and maintain WMS settings (locations, workflows, picking strategies, inventory rules).
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and new feature deployments.
  • Participate in system implementation projects and user acceptance testing.
  • Align WMS capabilities with operational best practices.
  • Analyze warehouse KIPs to identify and implement process optimization.
  • Act as key user / super user for WMS.

Operational Support

  • Provide second-level support for warehouse system issues.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
  • Enable and enforce system processes that ensure inventory accuracy and data integrity.
  • Monitor system usage compliance and correct deviations from standard processes.

 

Integration & Data Management

  • Ensure integration between WMS and ERP systems.
  • Maintain master data (stock keeping units, bin locations, users, permissions).
  • Support barcode/RFID or any automated data capture system interfaces.

Training & Documentation

  • Develop user guides and training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff.
  • Document system configurations and process flows

Qualifications and Skills Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in WMS support, warehouse operations, or logistics systems
  • Experience with SAP and  (any WMS platform AIXTRON uses), and experience with system integrations
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes (receiving, picking, packing, shipping)
  • Basic SQL or reporting tool knowledge, system testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication across warehouse, logistics and IT teams
  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia.

Working Conditions & Environment

·       Role based at AIXTRON Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.

·       Majority of the work is at Batu Kawan site; work at Kulim site will be requested as needed.
