About the Role
As a Technical Trainer for MOCVD equipment, you will be the vital bridge connecting our global service organization. You'll deliver comprehensive training programs that elevate Field Service Engineers and customer teams worldwide to certified experts on complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your mission is to be a global connector - bringing knowledge from headquarters to field teams across continents, translating technical expertise across cultures, and ensuring consistent service excellence regardless of geography. You'll travel extensively (~80%) across regions, building relationships and transferring critical know-how through hands-on workshops, on-site coaching, and certification assessments. Working closely with engineering teams in Germany, field organizations in APAC, and customer sites globally, you'll be the human link that transforms technical documentation into practical competence.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop and deliver comprehensive technical training programs for MOCVD equipment across Basic, Advanced and Expert certification levels
• Lead hands-on training sessions for Field Service Engineers and customer personnel on complex semiconductor equipment functionality, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Create and maintain high-quality training documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, technical manuals and certification assessments
• Develop and implement competence matrices and skill-level assessments to objectively measure and track Field Service Engineer capabilities
• Conduct certification assessments and make qualified decisions on Field Service Engineer competency levels with professional authority
• Support the global roll-out of AIXTRON's Service Certification Program across APAC region and enable autonomous regional training delivery
• Travel extensively (~80%) to deliver trainings at customer sites, regional offices and AIXTRON headquarters in Aachen, Germany
• Partner with Global Training Team to ensure consistency and alignment of training standards across
Qualifications and Skills Required
• Completed vocational training or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Field or related discipline
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment, MOCVD technology or comparable complex industrial systems
• Proven track record in technical training delivery, knowledge transfer or field service engineering roles
• Deep understanding of MOCVD reactor functionality, system architecture and operational principles
• Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying skill levels and backgrounds
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel internationally up to 80% of the time
• Experience working in cross-cultural and multinational environments would be highly advantageous
• Knowledge of compound semiconductor materials (GaN, SiC, AsP) and their applications is a strong plus
