About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, and maintaining strong financial controls. You will play a key role in supporting the integrity of our financial operations.

Your challenge

  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and authorization
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure completeness and accuracy of all posted transactions
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and manage vendor master data, handle vendor inquiries, and resolve discrepancies
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies
  • Month-End Closing: Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, and AP-related reconciliations
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., tax compliance, VAT)
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to automation initiatives within the AP function
  • Audit Support: Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits



The skills needed

  • Completed commercial training or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in accounts payable or general accounting
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles 
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
